A pipe has burst after hours. What should I do?
Turn off the water at the main stopcock, which is usually next to the water meter at the front boundary. If the leak is from the geyser or a hot water pipe, switch the geyser off at the distribution board too. Then call us. We treat burst pipes as emergency call-outs and respond as quickly as possible.
Why does my drain keep blocking?
In established gardens it is often tree roots, which find their way into older sewer lines through joints and cracks. Clearing the drain restores the flow, but roots grow back. A CCTV inspection shows where they are getting in, so the line can be repaired at that point instead of cleared again and again.
Do I need a plumbing certificate to sell my house?
Yes. In Cape Town the City’s water by-law requires a plumbing Certificate of Compliance before a property can be transferred. We inspect the installation and issue the certificate if it complies. If it does not, you get a detailed quote for the work needed to get it there.
